What an amazing summer day these two had to celebrate with their family and friends! Caroline and Tim were married at First Presbyterian Church in Charlotte, North Carolina. They began the day with Caroline, her mom, and her two sisters getting ready at the beautiful VanLandingham Estate- where they would celebrate at their reception later. Caroline and her family spent the morning together getting ready, which was such a sweet time as the 4 of them (the girls) got to spend quality time together. The rest of the bridal party and groomsmen arrived soon after, as Caroline and Tim shared a first look in front of the estate.

As is typical on summer days in the south, a quick shower came through for a few minutes while taking portraits, but the VanLandingham offers so many great covered areas that there wasn’t even a pause in the day for the rain. The sun came back out and pictures continued around the estate. The trolleys then brought the wedding party to First Presbyterian in downtown Charlotte, where Caroline and Tim would soon be wed.

Church ceremonies are always special and usually hold a deeper meaning for our couples who are married in them. For Caroline, her family is a part of the church, and it was perfect timing as the sanctuary would undergo construction just a few days later! After the ceremony, we were able to capture a few fun memories for the couple at the church before heading back to VanLandingham for the reception!

The tented wedding reception at VanLandingham was nothing short of perfection. Sarah Beth of Sarah Beth Events knows how to throw a stunning event, and she did just that! The Bloom Room created the most beautiful hanging installation while tables were filled with florals, texture, and beautiful menus and place cards by the talented Delighted Calligraphy.

The night was so much fun with the Surround Sound Band, and these two and their friends and families know how to have a good time! It was such a pleasure to document this day for Caroline and Tim, and also work with some of Charlotte’s best vendors.
